Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy, sometimes known as cold therapy, is the local or general use of low temperatures in medical therapy. It is used in an effort to relieve muscle pain, sprains and swelling after soft tissue damage or surgery. It can be a range of treatments, from the application of ice packs, or immersion pools, to the use of cold chambers. Our Cryotherapy device uses pressurized CO2 gas to target a local area of the body and cause “thermal shock.” The use of CO2 at -110°F under high pressure causes the skin temperature to fall from 89.6°F to 39.6°F within 30 seconds. The sudden decrease in temperature rapidly activates the body’s healing response to relax muscles, promote flow of blood & nutrients, & reduce pain. You’ll be amazed how quickly cryotherapy treatment can reduce your pain and speed your recovery.

Body Treatments and Add-Ons

Mirus Butter Body Scrub

This calming and cleansing full-body treatment delivers superb sensory therapy for any individual in need of self-nurturing. The treatment begins with a soft skin brushing that simultaneously awakens and prepares the skin. It is followed by a customized butter body scrub made with a selection of essential oil blends. The rich oils and butters moisturize and protect while the salt and sugar exfoliate and invigorate the skin. As the butter scrub melt due to the warmth of the body, the skin is left soft and supple while the full-body exfoliation leaves the skin polished and smooth. This emollient treatment can be especially beneficial in the winter months when the skin suffers from exposure to dry heat and brisk air.

The application of basalt stones magically eases tense muscles and offers relief in tender areas of the body. This deeply grounding treatment is excellent for stress, anxiety, and nervous fatigue.
